Sing a Song
Gently Falling Leaves
Make up your own hand motions to show the falling leaves.
Little leaves fall gently down
Yellow, black, orange and brown
Whirling, whirling round and round
Quietly without a sound.
Falling softly to the ground.
Down and down and down and down.
Watch!
Why Do Leaves Change Color?
Try This!
Today's colors are orange and black. Can your child think of an animal that is orange and black? Give a name to the animal and then tell a story about the animal. Have your child draw a picture to go with the story.
Find leaves outside to collect and glue to construction paper to make a book. Too cold to go outside? Go on a scavenger hunt inside and find all of the items in your home that are black and orange!
